Palm Trees and Ciggies! A tune for travelling, for beach drives, sky dives, river rides and getting high. Ironically those things aren’t really going on right now but Paul, like so many wanderers, wanted to set off into the world with just a backpack, a cold beer and pack of darts. Trying to live it basic by getting drunk with strangers who become friends, discovering a new love, a new city, a new aesthetic - to get that feeling of novelty back once more - to get the hell outta London!

Dipping out of the cold and over to the hot hills of Los Angeles this song's journey came into words. “I’m out here, broke as hell, playing shows and loving every second of it!” Catching the end of summer home in Auckland Paul The Kid’s bouncy reggae hybrid came together with Guy Harrison (Avantdale Bowling Club) laying down sexy synth and piano solos, sending this banger out the gate.

So, here’s to the dream put on hold! A tune to bop around the world of your bedroom, to crack a cold one, light a durrie and to start a riot. Cheers!
